Conservation
The point of conservation is to save something of historic or aesthetic value and prolong its life. Conservation fails if the work done diminishes the historic interest or aesthetic appeal of a building.
We understand traditional materials, construction, techniques and craftsmanship and this knowledge guides our work. However, where appropriate, we embrace modern materials and new technologies. We protect the patina of age in a building.
We have strong links with conservation and historic building groups and Russell Taylor is an Architect Accredited in Building Conservation (AABC) – a requirement for working on publicly funded conservation projects.
